The Heart Centre was registered as a medical practice and opened its doors to the public in the month of November 2009, but has been actively running from 1st January 2010. Currently the Centre has five employees including the Consultant cardiologist who is the proprietor.
A nation and a region where cardiovascular diseases are eliminated.
We are dedicated to building a comprehensive, effective, efficient and affordable cardiovascular health service in Kenya and the East African region.

The proprietor Dr Frederick Bukachi is a well known cardiologist both locally and internationally. He is a PhD holder in Clinical Cardiology from Sweden; a graduate of Imperial College, University of London and a member of Wolfson College, University of Cambridge, UK. He is highly skilled in cardiovascular investigations and patient care. His contribution to the medical profession was recognized in 2009 when he was honoured by being included in the Marquis Who’s Who in the world.
He is a member of various medical and cardiac societies and associations. Currently, he is a Senior lecturer in the department of Medical
Physiology at the University of Nairobi and offers honorary consultancy services as a physician/cardiologist at the Kenyatta National and referral hospital. He is the current chair of the National E-Health Working Group (Kenya).
